We have some great things for you in this month's newsletter. I am so glad
that you are a part of this great family of God! Please join us for service on Sunday evenings at 7:30pm and on Thursday evenings for CrossKIDZ and CrossWORD Bible studies at 7:00pm. Location info and driving directions are available
here. We're hoping to see you!
I'd also like to ask that you consider joining our Convent Partnership program F.O.M. (Friends Of the Ministry). A monthly gift of any size will help us to make a difference in people's lives here in Columbus, Ohio and around the world.
Please visit the Building Fund
page, where we have new pictures of the Phaze 3 building that we're praying on. We ask for donations and prayer
to be able to obtain this site for God's use in all areas of His ministries. Although we are working from a temporary location that the Lord has blessed us with for the time being, His vision for this ministry is bigger than we can imagine, and we move forward in faith this year that the fund is going to grow greatly in His care to secure this location for the awesome plan He has!
CrossKIDZ has a new look, take a see!
This month is National Parent Leadership Month.
If you know of a parent that has been a leader to their children and to others, please write to us and let us know who it is and we will get them something out recognizing them as an outstanding Parent Leader!
Please pray for Pastor Pariseau as he and others head for Washington D.C. this month for the Parents Anonymous 2007 National Training Institute.
Get Ready, Get Ready Get Ready! The Second Annual Pariseau Family and Friends Reunion is May 24, 2007 in Jackson, Ohio at Hillside Chapel Mennonite Church. You're all invited to come out and have a good time with us, as are all who knew (or
know) the Pariseau Family. There will be good food, worship and song, so please call, write or visit the website for more information and upcoming announcements as this gets closer.Mr. and Mrs. Matt Miller (Matt is on our board) have great news...they're expecting their first little one!
Please pray for this newlywed couple that God will keep blessing them and will provide the guidance they will need to be the great parents that I know they will be. Please visit this site soon to see pictures of their recent wedding.
A Word from the Pastor
A Call to Remembrance When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice;
and I am persuaded that in thee also. ~2 Timothy 1: 5Continuing on in the word He's given me for this new year, I'd like to remind you that God is about to help you stir up the good things
that are inside of you! This should help you out in this month of February as we remember those who went before us to create this great land we live in today. February is the month of remembrance
of some great presidents, as well as being Black History Month, so we can remember people like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and others who have paved the way for us with their outstanding examples of service in Christ, strength, perseverance, patience and love.
My mother, who was quite young at the time, got to experience life during that turbulent, but necessary, period in our nation's history. She tells me great stories about how she got to hear Dr. King speak
one summer in Boston. My mother, who is white, adopted me and my brothers when I was young and has always told us the stories of all races of people we need not to forget. What a wonderful blessing of parents God gave
us! Now she passes these stories on to my children, her grandchildren. This is also National Parent Leadership Month, where you can recognize the parent leaders in your life, and I can't think of a better one than
my mother!
This is a month of remembrance as Paul wrote to Timothy in his second letter to him, which is the final letter and the final recorded words of the Apostle Paul. Paul addresses Timothy not only as a son, but as a
co-worker who boldly affirms the miracles of scripture as the divinely inspired Word of God. Paul encourages Timothy to remembrance
in verse 5 as he reminds him that he has great faith inside himself. And why is this? As Paul goes on, he tells Timothy that it's
because of his mother and grandmother who instilled this inside him when he was younger. In the bible it teaches us train a child which way he shall go. I know some of you parents are saying, "Well,
I taught my child right, I had them in church, and they still strayed away."
I want to remind you that if it was instilled inside them, all we have to do is pray to get that Godly spirit stirred up inside them again to help them remember that they are a child of God, and that it will
happen in His time. Have faith and expect that they are on the way to greater things in His plan for their lives.
Now have faith in the Lord and what you have done through His grace in your parenting, and take a moment to stop and thank Him for giving your children just exactly what they need on their journey right now. If you are going through some tough times with a loved one, please let us pray with you. You can e-mail or call us today, or anytime, with your prayer requests. You are not alone.May God Richly Bless You and Yours Always,
Pastor Cory P. Pariseau Crossroads World Christian Center Church
