Country Hands An
Outreach Ministry of Crossroads World Christian Center Church Touching inner-city youth with the caring hands of Christ.
A Word from the C.E.O. & Founder... For such a time as this!!!!! We had a wonderful time in Jackson County, Ohio in November 2007 with the ministry Country
Hands (more on this developing ministry soon!), taking a group of inner city kids to the hills of southeast Ohio, along with the
Divine Daughters of Destiny, the CrossKidz group, and some of the families from CrossroadsWCC. Our church went down for the weekend to experience God in
his natural state. The trees and hills made it a wonderful way for our inner city kids to feel God. Our hosts, Pastor Jim Mullet and the congregational families at Hillside Chapel Church, gave
us a warm welcome with a bonfire. We roasted hotdogs over the fire and the kids had a ball running up and down the steep hills. The people there were very warm, loving and helpful,
and they took the time to talk and listen to the kids. We also ate popcorn that was cooked in a large black kettle over the bonfire and it was the best tasting popcorn I ever had! After the
bonfire cookout, the owners of the local skating rink invited us to come and skate. It was the highlight of the kids' weekend, they really enjoyed themselves skating, flying all around the
rink while Pastor Maurice tried to keep up with them! Pastor Cory was busy trying not to fall! It was very exciting to see the kids having such a great time being out of the city, where life for
them is a lot tougher, daily facing the challenges of an inner city kid. The next day, we took over the service of Hillside with praising! We saw two people get saved
that day, one person just passing on the side of the road and for some reason had to come in and give his life to God, and another young lady stepped up and asked to give her life to the
Lord. She also got baptized, praise God! That same day, we all went out to Pastor Jim's house and the kids got to witness this awesome move of God, as this young lady gave herself to Christ.
The kids were very impressed with Pastor Jim's house, which he built by hand. It is an underground house that he built for his family with some help from his friend, the sweat from
his brow and the love for his family to give them something they will enjoy for a life time. In the evening we went to Pastor Rob Ervin's church, World Outreach Ministries in Wellston, Ohio where the anointing is truly on this man of
God. As we walked into the building, we were greeted and hugged by so many people welcoming us to their church, by the time we reached
our seats we must have been welcomed 50 times and it did not stop there! People who were coming into the church after we sat down came
and welcomed us, too! The music was awesome; it really brought you into a place of worship.
I had dreamed one day that I would be asked to come to speak at World Outreach Ministries; I just had no idea that it would be that night! But
God has a reason for everything He does. I was unprepared and not knowing what to say, so I did what the Bible says and leaned not to my own
understanding. I let Him guide my words. As Pastor Rob gave me the microphone, I let God tell my story.
At the end of my testimony, Pastor Rob Ervin came and laid hands on myself and Pastor Maurice and prophesied over us that CrossroadsWCC
will be moving into Phase 3 of our building plan. Did you catch that? Not Phase 2, as we've been planning, but Phase 3 – a permanent
building of our own! He told us that we now have a Kingdom Connection with our Ministries and that what we are doing up here in the inner city
for the children is important. As we were leaving, the church planted an offering in our hands. In this season of Thanksgiving, this made me see
and reflect on the fact that God places people in your life for a reason. Pastor Jim Mullet was my childhood pastor. Pastor Rob Ervin was a friend of mine when I was in school and he had the
sweetest 3 point shot I've ever seen.
Pastor Jim said to me that our Ministries and the church is growing and touching lives and he doesn't see how he can be of any more help. I
wanted to say this to him but could not find the right words, so I'll include it here in the hope that he reads it: the seeds you planted in me when I was a young, hyper, non-attentive little boy are
being used for such a time as this; for you are touching yet another generation and many different cultures of people, all because you took the time to care for one – me.
I look forward to strengthening our Kingdom Connection with Pastor Rob Ervin and The World Outreach Ministries congregational family, too. It
was truly a blessing sharing what God has given to me, my friends, my family and my hometown with all of you at The Hillside Chapel and
World Outreach Ministries. We're looking forward to doing it again, and we truly thank God for you! May God richly bless you and yours always, Pastor Cory P. Pariseau
