Pastor's Notes
Oh what a wonderful time it is in the month of December
and we are celebrating and giving thanks here at Crossroads World Christian Center Church. As Pastor and Founder of this, God's Church, I am so excited
in what is about to happen in the coming days with the celebration of our Savior's birth, right up to what God has in store for you here at Crossroads. Please come and visit us, we will make you feel right at home.We have some sad news to report. On
November 26, 2007 we had someone break into the church. They kicked in the door and took several hundred dollars worth of camera equipment that we use to tape our services and other events, as well as did
several hundred dollars of damage to the door. Unfortunately, this will set us back in some of the plans we had made for some
Crosskidz
events and the Inner-city Youth Night Out. We believe that the devil had planned for us to give up on them all, but know that God has a plan for us to do more good, and so we won't!
GOOD NEWS WERE MOVING!!!!!!!
With much prayer, we just got word that we got the building we have been praying for! This will fit our needs in the Phaze 2 of building God's church. We are so excited that we will be able to help
more people in the inner city. We still need your help!
Please keep giving what ever God puts on your heart. Every dollar counts and makes an impact to those lost and hurting in our efforts. As we plan to move into the new 3500 square foot
facility, we are looking for other ways to use the building to be cost effective. We are looking into a daycare to operate out of the facility, as well as a full time kitchen café. We are also considering
leasing affordable use of our facilities to other ministries (affordability of meeting space for growing ministries is a huge obstacle here in Columbus). If you have anything else in mind that we could do to
increase the cost effectiveness of the space. We will be opening the Bible College this spring. It will be called Crossroads World Bible College.
We will be housing our Financial University out of the new facility, too. We will give more details on the new building and programs planned when all is finalized, but in the meantime, keep us in prayer in
this endeavor. New Corporate Partners We welcome CAPA (The Columbus Association for the Performing Arts) as one of our supporting corporate partners. CAPA has given CrossroadsWCC tickets to "A Christmas
Carol" and plan to give more tickets to other great shows as the year goes on. Please stay tuned to the events
page for the times and details and when you see them, let us know if you'd like to attend with us. This helps us to help the inner-city kids and families to experience another side of life in theater, the arts and music. We want to thank CAPA for taking time to care for the inner-city kids and families and for their generous donations.
If you are a corporation, business or church, and you want to partner up with Crossroads World Christian Center Church and its many life-changing outreaches, please call the office for details in how you can give to help our inner-city kids and families. Birthday Wishes

join us, please call the church office for the details.

A Word from the Pastor The Giving Season"...and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." ~Isaiah 9:6
God has given us a most precious gift. This is the reason for this season, to remember God's gift to us.
I love this time of year, because it brings the best out in all of us. No matter the cost, people want to give to others to show their love towards one another, an admirable quality. Sometimes we go to great lengths to get that very special gift for that very special person (or people) in our lives. We will fight traffic, wait in long lines at the counters, we will go in debt - just to give to the people in our lives this one time a year.
I work for the largest retailer in the world and have been for about 12 years. For them, this season means getting out of the red and into the black. The day after Thanksgiving is known has black Friday,
which is normally the biggest shopping day of the year. Through the time I have worked for this company every year it changes from how it was when I first started there. At first, I was working a whole lot
of overtime and they could not find enough people to get the freight out to the stores, it was so busy. Well now, we have more stores and are still extremely busy, but with one catch: no overtime. As the
demand rose, they found a way to mainstream the freight all year round, so that when this time of year comes, they are not rushing to get the freight to the stores, as most of it will be already there
waiting for the customers. This, as do so many things in everyday life, causes me to reflect on a spiritual comparison. God intended for us to not just celebrate His Son's birth one time a year, but all year around. When we
learn to give to others all year around, God blesses us with His abundance. When we seek God first and his kingdom, He says that everything we ask will be added unto us. So, go celebrate this giving season,
it is worthy to honor our Lord and Savior, as it is to give to those who you love, and to the less fortunate; but when this season is past, remember to honor God by doing this as you can the whole year
through! Please stay tuned for our January 2008 issue, as God has laid it upon my heart to give a New Direction for 2008 - you don't want to miss this issue. Have a very Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year! We hope to see you this holiday season at the Crossroads! May God richly bless you and yours always, Pastor Cory P. Pariseau |
